Bluetooth Keyboard With the iPhone OS

In the very early jailbreaking days, it was only really there to allow other programs onto the iPhone/iPod touch before Apple introduced the AppStore. As of right now, I persoanlly only see the use of jailbreaking to get themes and some extra software you really do not need. The typically user doesn't need to jailbreak his/her device, but I think this one Cydia application will change that.

When I was a Windows Mobile user, I used to use my Bluetooth keyboard all the time. I used to be able to type e-mails, have conversations with people, and even surf the web. It really is unfortantant that I cannot use the same keyboard with an iPod touch (2G or greater) or the iPhone. But now, with one Cydia application, you're able to use your Bluetooth keyboard! Having this functionality really turns your iPhone/iPod touch into more of a desktop expereince. If I had a Bluetooth compatible iPod, which I only have the first generation iPod, I would for sure try this out.

I typically do not believe of these types of methods that "jailbreak" your software, but I have to say, I'm glad we're finally able to use our Bluetooth keyboard.

If you would like to try this out for yourself, make sure you have a Bluetooth keyboard and anything but the iPod touch 1G (because it does not have Bluetooth). Assuming that you have already jailbroken your iPhone/iPod touch.

To dowload the software, you can read more on the BTstack website:

And by the way, if you're willing to try this, please leave a comment below this post to tell us how it went. The author states that they do not know if it'll work on the iPhone 2G.

Stalk me on social media! Any other way would just be creepy…
