Carriers and Apple Set Caps on the Download Limit
When it comes to setting caps on download limits on the iPhone, it's really nothing new when it comes to cellular networks setting caps on download limits.
Apple recently (and more specifically, AT&T) set a cap around Monday, or early this week; this cap ended up being a 20MB download cap. Now when you think about it, downloading 20MB over the air is quite a bit.
But I wonder one thing. Will this cap also be used for individual smaller files. If I were to download 20MB in separate files at one time, would they still set the cap?
As of right now, I just hope this will not be moving over to their plans that use their 3G networks cards, like in netbooks/laptops. If the same cap came to those devices, I can see a lot of trouble coming up soon.
What do you think of this cap AT&T put on? Will it affect you and your download habits via the air?
