Google Chrome On Mac OS X Review
Google Chrome is just that internet browser that is very fast, power efficient, and very usable.
One of my favorite things about Google Chrome in general is that it's very simplified. Almost every time I look at a web browser that someones using, about 1/5 of the browser's window is filled with search bars and just plugins that you don't need. Granted, my Firefox is like that, but that's because I only use that for development and I need those things.
Google Chrome is one browser that takes all the simplicity you can possibly get, and turns it into a nicely designed browser. With Google Chrome, by default, you only have the top which cannot be any simpler. Everything else, except for about for the scroll bar, is dedicated to your web browsing experience.
Google Chrome is very special because the performance compared to any other browser is just unbelievable. Google Chrome's JavaScript engine, called V8, is probably the best way to view websites like Facebook, which just happens to very JavaScript heavy.
Also, Google Chrome runs on the WebKit rendering engine. WebKit, which is widely known in Safari and Google Chrome, is a very powerful engine that really packs a punch. One of the more popular browsers out there, Firefox, runs off of the Gecko rendering engine, which is slower than WebKit. WebKit is a very nice thing to have in any browser because it is very fast.
When you combine the V8 engine and WebKit, it really makes a truly fast browser. Like my original video on Google Chrome, the one for the Mac really doesn't change. They're both pretty much the same thing, but just a tad bit different in default looks.
And finally, here's my video review of Google Chrome on Mac OS X.
What do you think about Google Chrome? Have you ever tried the different extensions/plugins it has?
