Microsoft Wants Your Help with Windows 7
Microsoft is really opening up to their community now; they want your help! In the previous Microsoft operating systems, it really doesn't seem that Microsoft took a lot of the ideas from what their users had; it was all from their internal team. Because Microsoft is really starting to change with Windows 7, their work ethic is changing with it. They are now giving you the chance to help make Windows 7 better.
TechNet Magazine is asking some of the IT pros out there to submit their ideas when they migrated over to Windows 7 whether it was in a small scale environment or a large one. The want to know your experience with (most likely) upgrading (with Vista, I wouldn't use that word; the complete opposite) from Windows XP, which most corporations use today, to Windows 7. They also want to know what features Microsoft should focus on and improve on based upon what users want the most out of Windows 7.
To be honest, I really think Microsoft is trying to forget Vista and move over to Windows 7. They want businesses to move over to Windows 7, and you know what, I think they will. Windows 7 in my mind is a perfect business oriented operating system that really cannot get any better for what businesses are used to (XP).
They really want to make Windows 7 a leap forward ahead of everyone else. Never before have I seen a company requesting for people to send in what they think about their operating system(s); Microsoft is for sure one of the first to do this. And you know what, it might just pay off. We will have to wait and see.
IT professionals are going to love Windows 7 once they use it. Software incompatibility is no more and it isn't getting the BSOD (blue screen of death - or even black in some cases) very often like XP did. It's a solid and stable upgrade; I really do think large corporations and even the small ones will benefit from Microsoft's latest and greatest creation.
What do you think about Microsoft opening up their customers to leave their own feedback and experiences? Do you think this is a good idea or maybe a bad one? Comments are always welcome on this one; in fact, I would love to talk to people on what they think Windows 7 will hold in the future, especially in the business world.
