My Impressions of Mac OS X and Macs in General

I was given the opportunity to be able to get a MacBook and use it for programming. With this, I am using Mac OS X, which I must say, is a very nice and clean-cut operating system.

Back in the early days, I wasn't exactly the type of person who you wanted to ask about Mac OS X. In fact, I was the last person who you would want to talk about it. I was always bringing this operating system down for so many reasons. You see, the school system I'm in, they used to use Macs for the primary computing needs. When we used these Macs, they were always crashing, locking up, or not even turning on. Because of this, I didn't have the best impression of Mac OS X.

But then I started to use Macs that weren't owned by the school. I've took a trip to the Apple store, use Macs that are from my friends, and even work on them to fix them up. The Macs that were in my school didn't work right mainly for the fact that people were messing with them. Granted, the Macs were not the best out their either. Our school had a lot of iMac G4s and G3s, quite a bit of G5s, a lot of of those clamshell iBook G3s and iBook G4s. And just recently, our school has finally upgraded and bought the iMac (aluminum) from early 2008.

But when you can get your hands on your own Mac that hasn't been tampered with (those latches on the iBook G4s were horrible at our school; the batteries smelled really badly too), you really know how the true "Mac Experience" is. Now, my impressions are totally changed of Mac OS X and just Macs in general.

With a video, here are my impressions of Macs and their operating system currently, Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6).

Stalk me on social media! Any other way would just be creepy…
