Twitter Cooked Up a Brand New Design!

Twitter has for sure taken a number of changes of the years. The change, that happened March 30, 2010 really set the stage for everything they've done.

Before this major change, Twitter has really just been giving tiny updates to their homepage. Also, if you may of noticed, Twitter really doesn't change up their interface once you log in to Twitter.

The major design fail I personally have with Twitter is that the design when you are logged in and logged out is not the same. It would be amazing if they can integrate this new design somehow with the profile pages.

Otherwise than that, I can really say that whoever designed this has done an excellent job focusing on the main parts.

A good section of the area of their website focuses on the top tweets. It would be nice though if they would almost feature different tweeters. :)

They have the trending topics displaying so well in this new design, If you highlight over any of them, it'll display why that's a trending topic curtosasy of What The Trend. I find this is a unique thing to add to Twitter and it really spices up the homepage and makes it more usable. Also with those trending topics, you can easily get what's big on the news, which is great for blogs like Tech Cores.

On the left hand side of the page, they have a "see who's here" section which basically features all the popular people. What if Twitter was able to see what Tweet it getting viewed the most, and put the user up there? That would feature more tweeters who don't get noticed.

Then simply on the right side, they have all their login info and getting started. Also on the near bottom of that, they help business get started with using Twitter.

One bad thin about the design is at the bottom, if you try to change the language, it shifts the whole website ~8 pixels to the left and you have to scroll down to see the rest. This is done in Google Chrome, but this is something that they should address.

Overall, I think this is a great design made by Twitter. From all of their redesigns, this one is easily my favorite. I just wish someday, they'll give us a new design when we're logged into Twitter.
