Ubuntu 9.04 Hits Beta!
Ubuntu 9.04 has finally hit beta over several months in an alpha stage! Ubuntu 9.04 delivers a lot of new features that enhance the operating system even more!
Some of the new features are the following:
- Gnome 2.26 - Always great when Gnome is updated
- A nice CD/DVD burning software called Brasero - This is one great feature! This is one of the best and simplest burning software I have ever used!
- New features for dual-screen monitors - much more easier to manager
- And one of my favorite systems, a new notification system! I swear, this notification system literally works with every app!
- With Ubuntu 9.04, we have a new file system! EXT4... which improves file writing/reading speeds opposed to EXT3, which most Linux distributions use today!
- And lots more cool features!
Enjoy Ubuntu 9.04! I bet we all cannot wait for this to hit the release canidate (RC) stage! :)
