iPhone is Coming to Verizon... - is this the best move?

The Wall Street Journal recently announced that the next generation iPhone will be available with Verizon.

One of my main gripes with this is really the fact that Apple went with Verizon. When you think about the iPhone, you want it to be fast. If you switch over to Verizon, it's not going to have those same 3G speeds you get with AT&T.

Verizon, unlike AT&T which uses GSM, used the CDMA system. CDMA used EVDO, which is like EDGE, but actually quite a bit faster. When it comes to networks of today's world, I'm honestly not too sure how speed goes. 3G is faster than EVDO, so I wonder if AT&T is the best choice, or any GSM network out there.

When it comes to what type of system to use, GSM is the more popular one used the most. I'm not sure why Apple is going with Verizon, but from what I can see, they might change their network in the near future. You wouldn't want a slow and cough... over pricey... network on your phone.

If they do go with them, I wonder what will happen with AT&T. Does that simply mean they'll offer the iPhone to both AT&T and Verizon, or does it mean it'll only be with one carier. For my standpoint, I would have to say it would only be with one carier. Most phones these days come with one carier.

So I guess we'll have to stay tuned on what Apple will do. I really do not like Verizon to be honest, and in fact, I think this is a bad move on Apple's part. I've even been hearing of some people complaining that they will not buy the next iPhone because of it.

But this might be a good thing for Verizon. If they do get the iPhone, more people will use them, and with that, they would be generating more money to expand their network.

In the end, no one really knows where this'll go, but I hope Apple makes a great decision. And to think about it, what network would the iPad come to?

Stalk me on social media! Any other way would just be creepy…
